One size fits all education doesn’t work in an industry that’s different for each individual. Sustaining a creative career looks different depending who you ask, so why is the education all the same?

That’s where we come in!

We start with community. We foster creativity on a community scale by connecting organizations and individuals while we contribute to community events and education. Through this network of creative businesses and professionals, we are able to utilize the entire community as our campus and our local professionals as educators.

Imagine going to different studios to learn different parts of the recording process (audio or visual), or even learning how to throw events in different venue spaces instead of a classroom. Every step along your journey is hands on (even the accounting..)

Our program is meant to truly accelerate a creative’s career. Not only through the knowledge itself, but also through access to a community and the understanding needed to apply their knowledge.

The Listen Movement connects these experiences into one personalized path- then turns that path into achievable goals, weekly actions and a path designed specifically for your life.

Your goals, fears, strengths and circumstances begin to shape the program from the beginning.

Then, your path is designed.

Mentorship, experiences and workshops are selected for you, with your help. We do this through a process of interviews and meetings with different team/community members.

Portland's community joins in.

Our program is built alongside the already vibrant Portland community. You won’t be sitting in a classroom every day. You will journey into the community for each workshop, event or experience/project. Your mentors and cohort will be from within the community so that you will graduate with resources and like minded individuals ready to thrive together!

Small actions create sustainable growth.

Small habits can compound into a healthy (or unhealthy) lifestyle. To help with that, you will work with our staff to build a custom 6-month planner. Your planner will document your growth, help you stay motivated and to help you stay organized as we embark on the path of creative development.
